We have a road!: A word from Deborah Turner

A simple road to drive on sounds easy enough – something we mostly take for granted, not even thinking about it! For so many years it seemed like a paved road to drive on to the LifeLink Ministry Base in Nicaragua was a faraway dream, a distant goal.

Many times we would navigate our vehicles through the mud and huge crevices only to get stuck and have to walk or be pulled out! In the rainy season, the road became like a swift river carrying trash and debris. I remember once a small child fell and had to be rescued from the dangerous and muddy waters of the road!

A few months ago, heavy machinery appeared and began digging and scraping the dirt in front of the base, and they just as quickly disappeared! Then, only a few weeks ago, the machinery reappeared – this time with graders, concrete and lots of workers.

We are so thrilled to tell you that after 10 years of believing and trusting God, we now have a beautiful, bright concrete road leading up to the front gates of the LifeLink Ministry Base.

We’re so thankful to all of our friends and supporters who stood, believed and trusted God with us for the much-needed road. Something as simple as a road makes our jobs as missionaries so much easier and is certainly an answer to prayer.

Thank you for helping to make the road to LifeLink International a ROAD to LIFE!
